Baby First Aid Courses

 

Whether you're expecting your first baby, already have young children, or you're a grandparent or carer wanting to update your skills, my Baby First Aid courses are designed to give you the knowledge and confidence to deal with everyday childhood emergencies.

As a Registered Midwife, I've spent my career caring for babies and supporting families. My aim is to provide practical, friendly and reassuring first aid training that leaves you feeling prepared rather than frightened.

​

During this interactive two-hour course, you'll learn how to recognise and respond to some of the most common emergencies involving babies and children up to eight years of age, including CPR, choking, burns, bleeding, head injuries, meningitis awareness and high temperatures.

 

There is plenty of opportunity to practise techniques on the training manikins, ask questions and build your confidence in a relaxed, supportive environment. Babies in arms are very welcome to attend with their parents.

Courses are held monthly in Shirley, Solihull and Sutton Coldfield, with private face-to-face and online sessions also available if you would prefer training at a time and place to suit you.

 

My greatest hope is that you'll never need to use these skills. However, if the unexpected ever happened, I want you to have the confidence to stay calm and know what to do while waiting for professional help.
